Every Man's Pantry
Food Distribution Program
“Every Man’s Pantry” is a food distribution program, which RRG offers once a month mostly to low and moderate income clients.  This program started in 2010.  Since then, it has received agency status with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.  Every Man’s Pantry receives 3,000 to 5,000 pounds of free food units on the food bank’s menu and distributes them to as many as 120 clients per month.  The distribution takes place at Montebello First United Methodist Church during the third Saturday of each month between 1pm and 3pm.  The Director for Every Man’s Pantry is Reuel "Chip" Aquino.
Under The Tree
Community Resource Fair
"Under The Tree" is an annual community resource fair. This event was first held in 2010. It is the aim of Under The Tree to create networking relationships and partnerships with other area non-profits, such as Care 1st, Queens Care Health Centers, Department of Public Social Services, West Coast University, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Youth Source, and the Housing + Community Investment Department to develop ameliorative outreach strategies to the general community, with particular emphasis to indigent, homeless and special needs populations.  The Event Coordinator for Under The Tree is Sandra Benavides.
Rosewood Gardens Apartments
Affordable Housing Complex
The Rosewood Gardens Apartments is a transit-oriented, five-story residential building over an on-grade podium and subterranean parking garage.  Rosewood Gardens includes 54, one-bedroom units for active seniors, a 2,650 square foot community room and learning center, four laundry rooms, a central landscaped courtyard and private balconies.  The parking garage accommodates 27 parking spaces and storage.  Rosewood Gardens has the distinction of being the first mid-rise affordable housing project in the city of Los Angeles to obtain the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification at the GOLD level.  The $21 million project was developed through a partnership between RRG, the Los Angeles Housing Partnership (LAHP) and Hudson Housing under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program and was completed on December 18, 2009.  Rent costs vary and is contingent upon tenant household salaries but average approximately $636 a month.  The average net rental income per year of the Rosewood Gardens is approximately $30,000 per year.  General partners for the property are LAHP and RRG.  LAHP is responsible for property management and RRG for community outreach.  Hudson Housing is the special partner, investor, recipient of all tax credits, and the current actual owner of the property.
